Every year, I see questions about the various facets of the contests,
both first-timers contestants and repeat competitors, show up in the
newsgroups, in my Inbox, and at various Toastmasters conference.

At the risk of raising all sorts of of questions about my motives,
I've decided to conduct a teleconference about what I've learned about
speech contests through my "storied" (to put it lightly) contest
career. Simply, I've picked up a few things along the way, and am
willing to share my perspective on them.

Please note: This is NOT a commercial endeavor; I'm not charging
anything for it. Don't get wrong the wrong idea, however; if anyone
buys any of my resources or books me to speak as a result of it, I
won't object. :-)

If you want more information about it, look here: http://www.jimkey.com/contestcall.

Whether or not you participate in the teleconference, I wish every
contestant all the best in the coming contests.

Make it an AWESOME today, for a BETTER tomorrow!!!

Very interesting, Jim, thanks for the opportunity. Unfortunately I'll be out
of town and busy with obligations that evening, but I will keep an eye out
in case you schedule any others. .

What a wonderful, thoughtful idea, Jim! I won't be able to participate,
because I'll be on the way to a Toastmasters meeting at that time.
Otherwise, I probably would, even though it turns out I'm not competing in
International this year.

Thank you for doing this.
