Just plain tripped over the rubber covering that protected several
electric cords. I was watchful for my speech, but not for the
interview. I had thought about what I would do if I tripped - perhaps a
self-fulfilling prophesy. At least it happened when it DIDN'T count!

I was wondering if that was a little tribute to Darren LeCroix... your
joke about it was so swift that I thought it could have been an inside
joke (although the guy next to me pointed out that if it was a joke,
your "acting" was definitely realistic). What happened?

Well, you handled it with panache! The interview portion was
fascinating. You can really tell who the polished speakers are.
